Selecting Offsetting Projects

The first right is to vote on the projects that will be offset. This is an important process because it allows token holders to have a voice in determining which projects should be supported and incentivized by the network.

The selection process also ensures that the projects offsetting carbon are aligned with the interests of ImpactScope token holders, as well as those of other stakeholders such as environmental organizations and local communities.

Since ImpactScope's target audience is people who care about climate impact, the selection process ensures that the projects supported by the network are aligned with their interests.

Once projects have been identified, they must then be verified as real and verifiable offset projects. This verification process includes a review by an independent third party. If a project is not verified, it will not be able to promote itself on ImpactScope.
